Worship Recap

This morning we continued our series on Soul Cravings as Jason talked about our craving for security. I think that this is an incredible moment in our congregation as economically, everyone is looking for security, just to realize how imperative it is to place our trust in God. It is so easy for me to begin trying to carve out a game plan of what I think will get me by, but when I close my mouth for a minute and tune into God's game plan- wow, what a difference. This morning we did a spoof on hurricane preparedness which you can watch here. Yes, I know it will be hard for anyone to take me seriously now. Haha, like that changed anything. :) The closing song is one that I wrote this week. I have added the lyrics and you can listen to a rough recording of it here. We had some technical glitches, but overall- great service. I am excited about what God is doing!!

Worship Set:
Take It All - Hillsong United
Your Grace is Enough - Matt Maher
Jesus Messiah - Chris Tomlin
Here I am to Worship

Closing Song:
Closer- Michelle Weger

I know your weary soul feels broken
You wonder if you'll be fine tomorrow
Don't buy the line that you deserve this
Don't feed the lie that you're not worth it (you're worth it)

Because
You've seen greater things and
You've held greater dreams and
Though they seem far away
They're closer than you could know

The darkness is deeper than you'll speak of
As you try to hold the pain inside
Don't buy the line that you must fight alone
Don't feed the lie that you're too far from hope (I'll hope for you)

Daisy, Daisy give me your answer do
I'm half crazy all for the love of you
Daisy, Daisy I gave my life for you
It won't be a stylish marriage
But I'll never let go of you

Because
I see greater things and
I hold better dreams
Though I seem far away
I'm closer than you could know

I like your song...nice work. we did Your Grace is Enough today, and Jesus Messiah is growing on me. I'll be pulling that out soon, I'm sure.
